Exchange & Refund Policy

At Rug Culture, we specialize in designer and handcrafted rugs created through detailed manual processes. Many of our products are made-to-order or customized. Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.

1. Product Nature & Customer Understanding

Customers acknowledge and agree that:

• Rugs may involve manual craftsmanship and finishing processes.

• Slight variations in color tone, texture, detailing, and appearance may occur.

• Product images displayed on the website or social media are for representation purposes.

• Screen displays may vary depending on device settings and lighting conditions.

• Handmade products may not appear identical to mass-produced items.

Such variations are natural characteristics and shall not be considered defects.

2. Pre-Dispatch Confirmation Policy

For custom rugs only, Rug Culture may provide photos or videos before dispatch for customer confirmation.

Once the customer confirms the custom rug:

• The order is considered final and approved.

• After approval, Rug Culture shall not be responsible for subjective dissatisfaction, preference changes, or expectation mismatches.

For non-custom or standard designs, products may be dispatched directly without pre-dispatch confirmation.

3. Custom Rug Similarity Disclaimer

For custom rugs:

• We aim to achieve the closest possible resemblance to the requested design.

• Due to the handmade nature, exact replication is not always possible.

• Customers acknowledge that similarity may vary depending on complexity and artistic interpretation.

• Approximate similarity may range between 75% to 90%.

Differences in proportions, shades, detailing, or artistic execution are considered acceptable and are not defects.

4. No Return Policy

We do not accept returns once a product has been delivered.

All purchases are considered final except in the following situations:

• Product received in damaged condition during transit, or

• Significant manufacturing defect verified by our team, or

• Incorrect product delivered compared to the confirmed order.

5. Exchange Eligibility (Limited Conditions)

Exchange or resolution will only be considered if:

• The rug arrives damaged during transit, or

• A major error has occurred from our side (wrong product or major size error).

Customers must notify us within 48 hours (2 days) of delivery.

Requests made after 48 hours from delivery time will not be accepted under any circumstances.

6. Mandatory Unboxing Video Requirement

A complete, uninterrupted unboxing video is mandatory to process any claim.

The video must clearly show:

• The sealed outer package before opening

• The opening process without cuts or pauses

• The product being taken out fully

• The issue or damage clearly visible

Claims submitted without an unboxing video may be rejected.

This requirement protects both customers and Rug Culture from fraudulent or false claims.

7. Resolution Options (Company Discretion)

If a claim is verified by our team, Rug Culture may provide one of the following solutions at its sole discretion:

• Replacement of the same product, or

• A coupon code of equivalent value usable on Rug Culture

Refunds will not be issued to bank accounts, cards, UPI, or cash under any circumstances.

In certain situations, Rug Culture may also provide additional goodwill discounts at its discretion.

8. Coupon Credit Terms

If a coupon is issued:

• Coupon will be valid for 6 months from the date of issue.

• Coupon can only be used for purchases from Rug Culture.

• Coupon is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

• Expired coupons cannot be reactivated.

• Only one coupon may be used per order unless stated otherwise.

9. Size Accuracy & Variation Policy

Due to the handmade nature of rugs:

• A tolerance of approximately 1–2 inches larger or smaller may occur.

• Variations within this tolerance range are considered acceptable.

• Minor measurement variations shall not be considered defects.

If a significantly incorrect size is delivered compared to the order placed, Rug Culture may provide resolution after verification.

10. Color & Appearance Differences

Exchange or refund will not be provided for:

• Slight color differences compared to website images

• Lighting or photography differences

• Device display variations

• Customer expectation mismatch

• Personal dislike after delivery

• Change of mind after order confirmation

Customers acknowledge that colors may appear different across screens and environments.

11. Handmade Texture & Finish Disclaimer

Customers acknowledge that:

• Handmade rugs may have slight texture irregularities.

• Surface finishing may vary slightly.

• Edges and detailing may not be perfectly identical across all pieces.

These characteristics are part of the handmade process and are not defects.

12. Shipping Responsibility for Approved Claims

If a claim qualifies due to verified damage or company error:

• Rug Culture will arrange pickup or return shipping.

• Customers will not be required to pay return courier charges in approved cases.

If the claim is not approved after inspection, Rug Culture reserves the right to decline exchange or coupon issuance.

13. Multiple Replacement Requests

If a replacement or compensation has already been provided once, any further requests will be handled strictly at the sole discretion of Rug Culture.

14. Cancellation & Order Changes

Orders cannot be cancelled once:

• Production has started, or

• The order has been processed for dispatch.

Any approved cancellation prior to production may be compensated via coupon only.

15. Customer Responsibility After Delivery

Once the product is delivered successfully:

• Customers are responsible for proper usage and care.

• Damage caused after delivery due to handling, washing, misuse, pets, or environmental factors is not covered.

16. International Orders

For international orders:

• Payments are considered final.

• International orders are non-refundable.

• Support requests will only be reviewed in cases of major transit damage.

Custom duties, taxes, and local charges are the responsibility of the customer.

17. Fraud, Abuse & Misuse Protection

Rug Culture reserves the right to:

• Reject claims

• Cancel orders

• Refuse service

• Block future purchases

If fraudulent activity, abuse of policies, or suspicious behavior is detected.

18. Limitation of Liability

Once the product has been:

• Approved before dispatch (for custom orders), and

• Delivered successfully,

Rug Culture shall not be liable for indirect dissatisfaction, perceived losses, or expectation differences.

19. Final Decision Authority

All decisions regarding:

• Exchanges

• Coupons

• Claims

• Disputes

Will be made by Rug Culture and will be considered final.

20. Policy Acceptance

By placing an order with Rug Culture, customers confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to all policies stated on our website.
